The festive berries decorating on our holiday cards adapt a charming gouache entitled Berries (1949) by Eyvind Earle (American, 1916–2000), an illustrator, sculptor, and Disney animator whose work is in The Met collection. Each card opens to reveal the message, “Greetings of the Season.”
